Sound

I press play and hear nothing.

Check the ring/silent switch on the side of your iPhone — when it shows orange, the phone is in silent mode. Then check the volume buttons, and that audio isn't routed to a paired Bluetooth device in another room (Control Centre shows the current output).

Also worth checking in the app: a phrase plays nothing if its rows have no notes, and a note needs an instrument with volume above zero.

Audio glitches or stutters.

Close other audio apps and try again — iOS shares one audio engine across apps. If a song with many channels and effects stutters on an older phone, rendering it to .wav (PROJ page) always produces a clean, glitch-free file regardless of how it sounded live.

Songs & files

Where is my song? I closed the app without saving.

It's there. WBTRK auto-saves your working song on the device and reopens it exactly where you left off — including when iOS closes the app in the background. There is no save button to forget.

How do I back up or move a song to another device?

PROJ page → save song exports a .wbtrk file through the iOS share sheet — save it to Files, iCloud Drive, or send it anywhere. On the other device, PROJ → load song opens it. Songs are small text files; keeping copies in Files is a perfectly good backup habit.

How do I get my music out as audio?

PROJ page → render wav bounces the entire song to a stereo .wav file and opens the share sheet. The render is done offline internally, so it's identical every time and never affected by live playback performance.

How do I start over?

PROJ page → new song resets to a fresh project (it asks first). If you want to keep the current song, export it as a .wbtrk file before starting new.

Using the app

What do the gestures do?

Tap a cell to move the cursor. Double-tap to place a value — or clear one that's already there. Long-press to open a picker with every option for that cell. On parameter pages, /+ nudge values (press and hold to sweep) and / step through choices like engines and effect types.

I'm new to trackers. Where do I start?

The step-by-step guide walks you from your first note to a finished, exported song. Inside the app, every page has a ? button explaining exactly what's on screen.

Can I change how it looks?

OPT page: 26 built-in themes, plus a theme editor where every colour can be changed individually and saved as your own theme. Themes export as .wbttheme files you can share.

Purchases

Refunds, payment problems, family sharing.

Purchases are processed by Apple, so payment matters go through them: Apple's billing support handles refund requests, usually within a day or two. The app has no subscriptions and no in-app purchases — it's a single one-time price.
